Waterloo Eye Centre has been at the heart of the community since its establishment in 1994 and we have served generations of patients across those three decades.
To commemorate this momentous anniversary, we held an event on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March, where patients joined the team at the practice in our celebrations.
Guests in attendance were greeted with complimentary prosecco, nibbles and coffee on arrival as well as styling consultations courtesy of our experienced team amidst a showcase of our complete collections of designer brands including Gucci, Chloe, Lindberg, and Saint Laurent.
During our 30-year history, Waterloo Eye Centre has established itself as a practice that pays due care and diligence to each individual patient that walks through our doors, forming strong relationships with our clients as well as the wider community.
Cortney Melia, Director and Optometrist at Waterloo Eye Centre since 2012, said: “I’m really proud of how far the practice has come since opening in 1994. So much has changed in terms of frames and technology, but we still carry the same values now as we did when the practice first started.
“I think our patients keep coming back to us because we treat them like family; we get to know them and their wants and needs and give a really personalised service.”

After 30 years of dedicated service, the team at Waterloo Eye Centre look forward to continuing to provide friendly, high quality standards of clinical excellence for all your eyecare needs.
Resident optometrist Paul Newell, is also celebrating 40 years of service in the optical industry and 30 years at Waterloo Eye Centre. Paul added: “Being a part of an independent practice that has been in business for this long is truly amazing, It’s been great for the team to celebrate this milestone and all of the hard work that they have been putting in over the past few years.”
